Based on the award winning MCW60 water-block which employs Swiftech's proven Diamond Pin Matrix technology, the MCW60-4870 base plate is CNC machined from billet C110 copper, then electroless nickel and chrome plated. It cools the GPU, memory, and extends to cool a heat pipe linking to the power mosfets.

Since the MCW60-4870 uses the same housing and specifications as the MCW60 revision 2, thermal performance and flow rate are identical; the product also retains the same great installation mechanism with a sturdy back-plate, as shown below.

The following list comprises all known models of 4870 cards sorted by manufacturer. The MCW60-4870 GPU water-block is compatible with all of them. The heatpipe extension for cooling of the power mosfets is only compatible with Version 1 of the Reference PCB design. However, in many cases, users can retain the stock heatsink for adequate cooling of these components and therefore do not necessitate swiftech's heatpipe extension.
