In this revision, the aluminum fin array adopts X-Vents and Air-Guide designs to direct heat away. Its four direct-contact copper heat pipes pass through an aluminum fin array to form an efficient system. The included fans feature redesigned blades to increase airflow while reducing noise. Moreover, a push-pull configuration tends to have better performance than with a single-fan equipped cooler. A set of mounting tools are included with this cooler for Intel and AMD compatibility.
Please note that an AMD AM4 upgrade kit is required for use with AM4 chips.
X-Vent Design
The X-Vent design uses 45° angled fin blades surrounding the heat pipe to create high and low areas of air pressure. This causes turbulence, but helps improve airflow where it matters most—next to the heat pipes.
"V" Shaped Array
Rather than a flat surface, the "V" Shaped Array has funnel-shaped aluminum fins and a series of perforated dimples to guide airflow towards the heat pipes.
CDC Technology
Continuous Direct Contact heat pipes ensure gap-less contact with the surface for enhanced heat transfer.
POM Bearings
