Optimus Watercooling - The New Benchmark in PC Watercooling
Performance PCs is proudly announcing it’s new partnership with Optimus Advanced Watercooling! If you haven’t heard of this brand yet, you’re in the right place. These guys are pretty new to the scene, however they bring a lot to the table, right out of the gate.
First and foremost, Optimus is owned and operated in Chicago, IL and is run by a team of extremely dedicated employees. They have backgrounds in aerospace engineering as well as surgical device manufacturing. I’ve personally been working with Josh, Optimus’ marketing and sales manager, who actually worked with Newegg at one point. To say the least, you can rest assured that these guys have what it takes to back up the claims they have been making.
As far as what Optimus brings to the table is exactly as follows: extreme quality in both materials used and manufacturing processes, higher performance than today’s top brands, as well as a 10 year warranty on all of their products. I’ve personally spent several hours with their products as of today, and can already tell you that these guys aren’t kidding around.
Extreme Quality
Immediately after the initial unboxing of the products Optimus sent to me, I could tell that these products were not like anything else I’ve encountered in the watercooling industry. I could tell that Optimus was tagging along with Watercool’s Heatkiller blocks just by the sheer weight of their Foundation CPU block. Once you dig deeper into their CPU blocks you will quickly see that the density of fins is much greater than any other CPU block on the current market. All of Optimus’ products are made right here in the USA, using some extremely precise machining processes. Although I still consider myself a novice machinist, you can tell in the products aesthetics alone that these guys take watercooling product manufacturing to the next level. You can read more about these processes here, instead of having a noob like me try to even begin to explain what these guys are doing. All I can tell you is that until you have an Optimus product in your hands, you won’t entirely grasp what Optimus Advanced Watercooling is all about.
Higher Performance
I still have yet to test Optimus’ complete line up, however I did throw their Foundation CPU block on my X99 test bench during this stream, and did a quick comparison with Watercool’s Heatkiller Pro 4 CPU block. Even for a quick test the results were pretty compelling if you ask me. The Foundation CPU block was a solid 6℃ cooler than the Heatkiller Pro 4, which was the previous “top performer” in my CPU block comparison blog here. I will be sure to run more tests on Optimus’ CPU blocks including their 2080 Ti/Titan RTX GPU block and post it in a future blog. Stay tuned for more!
Longest Warranty Ever
On top of all the previous accolades, Optimus also offers a 10 year warranty on all of their products. This is the longest warranty I have ever seen in the watercooling industry and Optimus even says their products will actually last a lifetime with proper use. Of course you can’t abuse their products in ways that would damage the products, but I am a firm believer that it will be pretty difficult for most if not all watercoolers to significantly damage these products. In the previously mentioned stream found here, I took one of their compression fittings and tightened it down on their Signature v2 acrylic CPU block with a very large allen key. With all the force I could exert, the block did not crack, fracture, or even budge for that matter. This is some acrylic quality that has never been seen before in this industry, and I’ll stand behind that myself.
Highly Recommended
I personally plan on using Optimus Advanced Watercooling components in my upcoming Spectre 2.0 build as well as other projects I have coming up on the bench. I can already tell you that these products are well worth your money whether you’re a watercooling legend or a newcomer. You will be able to find all of Optimus’ products at PPCs very soon! We will be carrying their CPU blocks, GPU blocks, pump/reservoir combos, and fittings. Keep your eyes peeled for those new product listings.

Special thanks to Josh and the Optimus team for bringing something new to the industry, as well as the box of goodies you all sent me!
