Now you can use your current non-PCI Express 2.0 (8-Pin) Power Supply with that new motherboard that supports a PCI Express 2.0 Video cards! This power cable has a proprietary eight-pin plug on one end that connects to your PCI Express video card with the other ends connecting to two separate Molex connectors (preferably on two different lines) of your power supply. This is the perfect savior if you just spent a ton of money on an expensive power supply that does not support PCI Express 2.0.
*** PLEASE NOTE: Just because the cable attaches to your PSU does not insure it will work if your Molex rails are not sufficient output to power the cards. So do not expect to plug this into a cheap OEM 400 Watt PSU and have it run your video card! If you have 600 Watt or better modern PSU you should be OK.
