The Scythe Kaze Maru 2 Slip Stream 140mm x 25mm Fan is a 140mm blade fan built into the frame of a 120mm fan. This makes it one of the most versatile large scale fans on the market that exceed 120mm. By reducing the dimension of the center hub and enlarging the blade surface area, high airflow is generated at a low RPM. This model is PWM enabled and has a variable voltage PCI slot knowb for ultimate control.
Note: This fan has a 140mm blade but the mounting holes DO NOT support 140mm standard spacing, support only available for 120mm fan spacing.
Built in typical Slip Stream case fan structure, with a small dimensioned center hub and large blades, the Slip Stream 120 PWM Adjustable VR provides high efficiency at a low noise level.
PWM / VR switch
The Slip Stream 120 PWM Adjustable VR comes along with a PCI bracket switch allowing to choose between PWM and VR mode. By sliding the switch the corresponding mode will be chosen.
Please note: In order to take advantage of PWM function, please use the motherboard with PWM features build-in.
Fan Speed control in PWM and VR mode
Slip Stream 120 PWM Adjustable VR is equipped with a fan controller. By turning the knob, PWM-range or fixed speed in VR mode can be adjusted.
Please note: PWM function will not work if the fan is connected via 4-Pin peripheral connector or connected to 3-Pin fan port. In this case, the fan will spin at the maximum speed.
