The primary goal in designing the new EK-Pro CPU WB sTR - Nickel + Acetal water block was to cover the entire integrated heat spreader (IHS) of HEDT AMD® EPYC� and AMD® Ryzen Threadripper processors, thereby improving cooling performance. A dense micro-fin structure with 91 wide grooves fully covers the CPU dies located below the IHS, ensuring more effective cooling.

The top is crafted from CNC-machined durable POM Acetal, and the hold-down bracket is made of laser-cut stainless steel. Each EK-Pro CPU WB sTR water block includes a precisely machined copper base (sometimes referred to as a 'cold plate') made from the purest copper available on the market, treated with nickel electroplating.

The EK-Pro CPU WB sTR - Nickel + Acetal comes with a pre-assembled, error-preventing mounting mechanism that is directly installed onto the SocketTR4 mounting holes. This results in a perfect installation and optimal performance every time. Additionally, this mounting solution makes the water block compatible out of the box with AMD's server-type Socket SP3 motherboards, eliminating the need to remove the motherboard from the case and ensuring a hassle-free CPU installation.
