The K1 was designed to deliver the features of an All-in-One system but in a way that enhanced the serviceability, configurability and usability of the All-in-One concept. The K1 provides a space saving system that delivers a no compromise computing performance using industry standard desktop components. The K1 supports the typical All-in-One features such as internal stereo speakers, internal Wi-Fi antennas and external power supply. What the K1 does different is the K1 allows you to select the brand, size and features (touch/non-touch) of the monitor that you want to integrate with system. By offering the ability to select the size and features of the monitor separate from the system capabilities users are able to maximize their choice of options and eliminate the service complications created by the All-in-One look and feel.

The K1 allows you to do business your way. The K1 ?s list of options lets you tailor the system to meet the application requirements. Unlike many All-in-One systems the K1 supports multiple Wi-Fi antennas and MIMO operation for higher data transfer rates. The K1 allows you to select 1 or 2 internal antennas to optimize the price performance of the system. Or for installations that have a more challenging Wi-Fi environment the K1 allows you to select one of 2 external +3dB antennas. Or use a third party antenna solution. With the K1 what you need to build the best system and the lowest price has been envisioned from the start. Want to use a monitor with built-in speakers? Don ?t worry the K1 internal speakers are optional.

The K1 has a number of features that support new applications. The internal USB expansion port allows for the installation of any (including wireless) external USB device inside the K1. This feature enables a number of possibilities. For low cost units a USB boot device can be installed in the expansion port eliminating the need for a hard drive. The expansion port can also be used to install wireless keyboard/mouse transceivers, Zig Bee®, Z-Wave or Wi-Fi wireless adapters. No matter what is installed in the expansion port it is hidden from view and protected from loss by the K1 ?s cover and security features.

The K1 also supports an integrated SMART Card reader and supports both contact and contactless operation with the reader. The reader also supports NFC devices as well as being EMV and FIPS certified. The SMART Card reader enables two factor authentications using a number of different SMART Card technologies. The K1 was designed to be able to be customized to support most 3rd party SMART Card of dedicated NFC readers without major modifications. The K1 can even be set up to do ?Tap N Pay ? payments.

The K1 was also designed understanding that strong physical security was needed for many applications. Equipped with 2 pad lock and Kensington lock locations the K1 ensures that access to the system is controlled. However physical security doesn ?t just mean protecting the inside of the system. The K1 offers a desktop security mounting plate that secures the system to the desktop as well as preventing access to the rear panel and rear panel connections.
