TWO MOUNTING WAYS WORK ON BOTH MODES

Normal Mode with HDD Tray Panel Scenario

Moving the GPU next to the motherboard opens up the main chamber in the chassis for the tubes to pass through and creates a chimney-style airflow, effectively cooling the top and bottom radiator.

Ultimate Air-Cooling Configuration

Paired with the upright GPU kit, the front mesh kit provides the O11D EVO with additional fresh air intake from the front to better cool the GPU and the CPU.

NOTE: Recommend Set-up for some GPUs

Due to GPU cooler design, some GPUs have been found to perform significantly better with GPU IO facing down when using upright GPU kit. Test result as follow :

SPECIAL NOTE FOR NVIDIA 40 SERIES GPU

The thicker and longer Nvidia 40 series non-reference GPU is not friendly with the current upright GPU kit, and it requires a new supplemental kit to help clear more clearance to prevent the upright GPUs from interfering with top/bottom mounted fans/radiators.
The new supplemental kit will be released by the end of March 2023, and it will support the 40 series card according to the following chart.
(The chart below specifies not only which card fits but also which orientation is favorable for cooling.)

Reverse Mode with Front Mesh Kit at Fan Bracket Scenario

Replace the glass panel to the front mesh kit brings further fresh air into the chassis to cool the CPU and GPU efficiently.

GEN 4.0 PCIE RISER CABLE

The PCIe 4.0 riser cable supports bit rate speeds of 16GT/s. While providing double the bandwidth of PCIe 3.0, the Gen 4.0 riser cable remains backward compatible with a maximum transfer speed, offering great performances.

Note:
Make sure the GPU PCIe Connector is fully inserted into the PCIe Riser Cable Socket and motherboard PCIe slot when powered off. Circuit short may occur and cause hardware damages if installed not properly.

FAN AND RADIATOR COMPATIBILITY

When installing a three-slot thick GPU in the upright position, the radiator width clearance beside the bracket is limited to 130mm, and 120mm for fans.
