Details

The SilverStone ECU05 is a PCI-E 2.0 x2 expansion card with reversible USB 3.1 Type-C and USB 3.0 ports. Its single USB 3.1 Type-C port is capable of fully utilizing PCI-E 2.0 x2 slot for up to 10Gbps bandwidth, which is twice the USB 3.0 performance for offering excellent stability when multiple external USB devices are in use simultaneously. ECU05 also has additional two external USB 3.0 Type-A ports and an internal 19pin USB 3.0 connector to provide your system with five total added USB ports. For fast charging, one of the Type-A ports (black) meets USB Battery Charging (BC) 1.2 standard to deliver quick and safe charging to your mobile devices. Finally, the ECU05 supports UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) for enhanced performance, so operating systems with XHCI (eXtensible Host Controller Interface) can easily detect and install ECU05 without the need for any drivers.

* If your OS version is Windows 7 or earlier, please install driver (available from SilverStone website) prior to using the ECU05.

** Windows 8 or 8.1, 10 supports ECU05 automatically so you do not need to install additional driver for it.

*** User should check for XHCI function in Ubuntu/Linux or Mac OS, if computer system supports XHCI function then it can support ECU05 automatically without additional driver installation.

**** If your operating system is incompatible with the expansion cards developed by SilverStone, such that your device can not be detected or recognized, please update your motherboard?s driver or BIOS to the latest version. You may also try executing compatible mode in your operating system and select previous versions of operation system to install driver required by the expansion cards.
