The AM5 Mycro Direct-Die RGB is a water cooler for AMD's Ryzen 7000 processors that sits directly on the chiplets of a deliddeten (decapitated) CPU. Constructed from nickel-plated copper, the direct-die water cooler offers outstanding thermal conductivity. This is further increased by an optimized structure of the microfins on the top. In addition, direct die cooling eliminates a layer of heat conducting agent and the CPU's heat spreader compared to normal water cooling. This significantly improves the heat transfer from the CPU to the water cooling circuit.

The Thermal Grizzly Mycro Direct-Die CPU water cooler RGB for Socket AM5

The AM5 Mycro Direct-Die RGB is a water cooler for AMD's Ryzen 7000 processors that sits directly on the chiplets of a deliddeten (decapitated) CPU. Constructed from nickel-plated copper, the direct-die water cooler offers outstanding thermal conductivity. This is further increased by an optimized structure of the microfins on the top. In addition, direct die cooling eliminates a layer of heat conducting agent and the CPU's heat spreader compared to normal water cooling. This significantly improves the heat transfer from the CPU to the water cooling circuit.

Visually, the AM5 Mycro Direct-Die RGB offers a stylish appearance. There is a block of acrylic glass on the nickel-plated base plate, which is subjected to a tempering process after milling. The tempering process frees the acrylic glass from internal surface tension. This ensures that no stress cracks form in the acrylic glass, even after a long period of use.
Powerful CPU water block with RGB lighting

A cover made of anodized aluminum is magnetically attached to this. 13 RGB LEDs integrated in the lid illuminate the acrylic glass on the side and the G1/4 inch thread, whereby the lid can be mounted in such a way that the RGB connection cable can be routed up or down. The RGB lighting is connected via a 3-pin ARGB header (+5V/DATA/GND).

The AM5 Mycro Direct-Die RGB's nickel-plated finish is compatible with traditional thermal compounds and gallium-based liquid metals. The nickel forms a barrier between the liquid metal and the copper cooler, preventing liquid metal from diffusing into the copper and minimizing alloy formation. As a result, repeated application of liquid metal is generally not necessary.

A KryoSheet graphene thermal pad can be used as a thermal interface between the CPU and the AM5 Mycro Direct-Die RGB for the most maintenance-free system possible. Since KryoSheet pads are electrically conductive, a cover is included to protect the electronic components on the CPU package.
