The Modultra Emitter heatsink is designed for use in cases where lower pump temperatures are desired when using acrylic or acetal pump housings, distribution plates or reservoirs. The addition of a honeycomb fin pattern on top helps to emit heat through natural or forced convection.
The Modultra Emitter heatsink is CNC machined from billet 6061 aluminum for thermal conductivity. The heatsink is then Cerakoted for corrosion resistance. The heatsink does not come in contact with loop coolant so there is no chance of loop contamination. All Modultra heatsinks have a total of 112 convection holes drilled on its 4 sides. This is not a cheap feature to add, however it is one of the reasons for its excellent thermal performance. The Emitter heatsink can be used with any Laing DDC or Laing DDC pump clone. During testing we measured a 25-30 degree pump temperature reduction when used with any acrylic or acetal plastic pump housing.
All Modultra heatsinks come with 4x M4x30mm mounting screws, 1X thermal heat transfer pad and 2x pieces of Kapton tape for insulation purposes. Please see user manual for installation.
